But a spoonful is a recipe that requires lots of time and planning, so prepare ahead and be prepared to eat a little spoonfuls of spoonfulcake.

Here’s how to make spoon fruitcakes:Make the batter.

Sprinkle the sugar and flour with a little salt and a little cinnamon.

Beat the eggs, butter, and vanilla in a bowl.

Mix until smooth.

Set aside.

Cook the cake.

Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the flour, eggs, and sugar, stirring until combined.

Cook, stirring constantly, until the batter is thickened.

Remove the pan from the heat.

Spoon about a teaspoon of batter into each of your bowls.

(You can use a fork, but don’t be tempted.)

Top each spoonful with a spoon of fruitcake and serve immediately.
