Bitter Apple Spoons Cake – Delicious Apple Spoon Cake with Bitter Cinnamon, Apple and Honey, Cinnamon Sugar and Bitter Black Pepper, Sweet and Spicy Apple Sauce, Lemon and Apple Buttercream, and Apple Caramel.

Ingredients 2 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1 cup apple cider 1 cup applesauce 1 cup honey 2 tablespoons butter 1 cup heavy cream 2 tablespoons honey 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 tablespoon butter (for decorating) Directions Prepare the apple sponges by preheating the oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly oil a 9 inch square cake pan.

Place the apple sauce and the apple cider in a small bowl and set aside.

Using a pastry brush, drizzle in the sugar and apple cider.

Spoon the apple mixture over the applesaucer mixture, and drizzle more sugar over the sides.

Pour the apple buttercream into the center of the apple mix.

Sprinkle with more sugar, cinnamon and a pinch of salt.

Top with butter and spread it evenly over the cake.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes If you are allergic to baking powder, you can substitute the cinnamon sugar with pure sugar.
