This is one of those articles that gets my blood pumping.

I was craving something sweet and delicious, so I made one!

This cake spoon will definitely be a favorite for any dessert lover!

Recipe Notes: You’ll need: 2 cups cake flour (2 tablespoons, 3 tablespoons, 4 tablespoons, 6 tablespoons) 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup sugar 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 1 egg, beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup cocoa powder 1/3 cup chocolate chips, melted Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C).

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

In another small bowl beat together sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla.

Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Pour batter into prepared baking sheet.

Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Cool for 5 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Allow to cool for 5 more minutes.

Cool completely before frosting.

Frost with powdered sugar.

Recipe Notes If you don’t have cake flour, you can use 2 tablespoons of whole wheat flour instead.

You can also use whole wheat chocolate chips instead of cocoa powder.

For the chocolate chip frosting, you’ll need 2 cups of unsalted chocolate chips (about 1/8 cup) and 1/16 cup of cocoa chips (1/4 teaspoon).

For the icing, use 1 cup of powdered sugar instead of powdered cream.

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, whisk the flour, powder, salt, and sugar together.

In an electric mixer fitted tip, beat the butter, sugar, and egg until fluffy, about 2 minutes.

Add the dry mixture and mix just until combined.

Next, add the vanilla extract and mix for another minute or two until well combined.

Slowly stir in the flour mixture and add to the dry mix.

Add in the cooled chocolate chips and powdered sugar and mix on low speed for about 1 minute or until smooth.

Once smooth, add in the dry ingredient mix and mix well.

This will form a dough.

Knead on low for 15 minutes, or until a ball forms.

Shape into a disk.

Roll out the dough to about 1/32 inch thick and cut into squares about 2 inches wide and 3/4 inch deep.

Cut into 8 pieces.

Place the squares on a cookie sheet and let rise for at least an hour, or overnight, until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F and line a baking sheet or another baking sheet lined with parchment in the middle with parchment and set aside.

When the cake spoon is ready to be made, remove the parchment and place it on a plate and sprinkle with powdered chocolate.

Allow the cake to cool.

Cut the cake into 8 slices.

Bake the cake at 325 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or the cake will be done.

Remove the cake from the oven and let cool completely before filling.
